“The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.”—Psalm 34:17–19

• We cry—the LORD hears
• We struggle—the LORD draws nigh
• We are afflicted—the LORD delivers

We serve a God who is powerful. There is nothing too hard for Him, and with Him all things are possible!

We serve a God who is personal. He who created and oversees all things and people knows us by name and is privy to the intimate needs of our lives.

We serve a God who is pleased. The sacrifice of Christ on the cross satisfied His righteous judgment. There is no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus. Oh, how He delights in us when we humble ourselves and trust Him in the trials of life. Whether we cry or sigh, the LORD is nigh.
