After twenty centuries of church history, the words of Jesus in Matthew 9:37 are still applicable, “The laborers are few.” Only a few pastors, evangelists and churches are really soul conscious.

When I was a young teenager I knew that there was much work to be done for Christ, and it seemed right and reasonable to volunteer to serve God in whatever way that He saw fit.

When military people are saved and discipled they make great church members. They are different than the average church member due to the nature of their work.

Good, strong, faithful churches in our day are increasingly being enticed away from the foundation of Scripture. In an effort to draw a crowd, they are actually being drawn into the crowd.

In Mark 14 we find a number of wonderful lessons from the lives of everyday people—people like you and me. The chapter begins with the house of Simon (once a leper) and a woman who came to the Lord Jesus and broke open an alabaster box filled with spikenard and poured it on Jesus’ head.

It is very important to understand the difference between believing on Christ for salvation and following Him in discipleship.

Several times I’ve been privileged to hear a number of great preachers in churches as they travel across the country. I’ve noticed something that they do.
