Be prepared yourself. You should be there to greet them; you should not be doing lesson plans, etc. as students arrive.

Being a parent is a tough job. And in today’s broken society, it sometimes seems that there are 1,001 forces working against you. But parenting is not only tough—it’s vital. It’s the highest of callings, and it’s important that you succeed in raising your children to follow the Lord as adults. So how are you to win in this endeavor?

Whether you are a kindergarten teacher or a parent of a kindergarten aged child you know that they are very malleable and are always learning about their surroundings. We should take advantage of this impressionable time to teach children their ABC’s.

“Agony, torture, psychological abuse, mentally stressful, complete exhaustion, physically excruciating, and cruel and unusual punishment” are just a few of the descriptions that Navy Seals who have experienced the fourth week of Seal training in San Diego, California use to describe it. The week begins on Sunday evening at Midnight and ends on Friday around midday. For five and a half days these Seals go through some of the most physical, emotional, and psychological pressure that most of us will never have to endure.

Do you ever tremble at the incredible responsibilities on your shoulders as a parent? On one hand, you are called to protect the tender hearts and minds of your children, and on the other, you are trying to do so in a terribly perverse society and while exercising faith in God. How do you balance both?

Just a little over nine years ago, I had the opportunity to attend the funeral service of Dr. Lee Roberson, a giant of the faith. Dr. Roberson was a preacher of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ for 79 years and a pastor for 50 years.

As we begin Spiritual Leadership Conference, I am praying for the Lord to empower every moment of this conference for His glory and for the encouragement of His servants.

We are faced with choices every day. Decisions must be made on an hourly basis. And there is a great possibility for error, simply because we are human! In addition, many of the choices we face don’t have an exact Bible chapter and verse for us to follow. Because of this, we must claim the promise of the provision of God’s wisdom. James 1:5 says “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God….”

Last words speak volumes. They reveal priorities and hopes. Before Jesus ascended back into Heaven, He gave His disciples this daunting command, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matthew 28:19–20). Let us consider four important facts from Christ’s great last words.

If there is one thing that is clear in the New Testament, it is that the gospel doesn’t end with receiving it. It is a truth to pass on to others.
